Creo Dentistry creates new smiles with full, partial and implant dentures
“Creo” is Latin for “create” or “produce.” And our dental practice stays true to its name; we skillfully create new smiles. Dr. Dan Hwang applies his combination of training in advanced dental techniques, systems, and technologies with warm, inviting, and personalized care. In this manner, he precisely and comfortably completes a smile marred by gaps. Creo Dentistry’s full or partial denture options transform more than mouths; our patients in Marysville, Washington, and throughout the Sound walk taller, speak, and laugh confidently, and can enjoy meals again. Getting a new set of teeth that they can be proud of and that functions no differently than healthy, natural teeth is truly a life-changing process that Dr. Hwang is privileged to support.
Full conventional dentures
These dentures recreate the appearance and structure of natural teeth and gum tissue. The replacement teeth are made out of materials such as acrylic or porcelain, which have been precisely color-matched to look like natural teeth. These teeth sit on a base that is also made from materials such as acrylic. The base is designed to look like pink-red gum tissue.
Dr. Hwang takes great care to ensure your new teeth and gums look natural, not like fake-appearing or overall plastic “false” teeth. It is vital that these dentures fit well. Many of the complaints associated with traditional dentures have to do with a poor fit. Since these dentures are stabilized by natural suction, they must conform perfectly to the contours of your mouth. Properly fitting dentures do not slip around and irritate delicate oral tissues. You can chew food efficiently, and your diet is not limited. Likewise, you can smile, speak, and laugh with confidence, knowing that your dentures will not slip around.
As with complete dentures that replace an entire upper or lower arch of teeth, partial dentures replace a group of teeth and are also designed at our office to look like the “real thing.” These systems differ from complete dentures. Partials are usually held in place by clasps instead of getting their support from underlying tissues (suction) and products like denture adhesives. These clasps are connected to the thin metal framework that contains the replacement teeth. They wrap around existing teeth at the gum line. Others can’t see this silver metal framework because it is covered with gum-colored acrylic.
Instead of being locked in place by clasps, suction, or adhesives, these dentures are supported by dental implants strategically placed in the jawbone. These implants, in turn, function like tooth roots to hold the denture base firmly in place. As few as four implants may be used to replace an entire upper or lower arch or jaw full of teeth. Dr. Hwang’s options also include immediate dentures, with a transitional or provisional denture applied immediately after teeth are removed. So, you never have to go without teeth! All-on-4® implants are also appropriate even for those patients who have bone loss, without the need for bone grafting. If you are holding on to badly damaged teeth or have gaps in your smile, do not delay scheduling an appointment with Dr. Hwang at Creo Dentistryin Marysville, WA.
